Imran remained busy in anarchy, Zardari destroyed Sindh: Shahbaz
VEHARI: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday termed Imran Khan as a habitual liar and said levelling allegations was his culture. Mr Niazi [Imran] had delivered nothing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and wasted time on promoting anarchy through sit-in culture, he added.
"Instead of presenting an 11-point agenda, Imran should reveal his performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Shahbaz remarked. He was talking to journalists at the District Headquarters Hospital Vehari where he inaugurated different projects costing over Rs.1.5 billion, which included new emergency ward, pathology lab, CT scan machine, hospital management information system, PKLI Centre, hepatitis clinic and others. Shahbaz said Imran failed to initiate and complete a single project in health sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last five years, but the story was completely opposite in case of Punjab which was far ahead of other provinces in health sector. “Nations are not built by Lying,” he remarked.
“The PML-N brought a health revolution in Punjab,” Shahbaz said and questioned what the other parties had done for the nation in the last five years. “Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cannot be compared with Punjab,” he remarked. “In the past, unqualified staff worked in hospitals across Punjab but today professionals are hired in all hospitals across the province,” Shahbaz noted. The chief minister said Asif Ali Zardari too had nothing to show as he had failed to provide even basic health services to the masses in Sindh, adding that he had destroyed Karachi and other parts of Sindh through unchecked corruption.
“Corruption is rampant in Sindh from top to bottom,” he said. “If Mr Zardari brings back the nation’s money he has shifted abroad and invests in Sindh’s development then people might forgive him,” Shahbaz said.
“We need to move the country ahead by learning lesson from the past blunders. Pakistan can make progress,” he added. Besides other initiatives, Shahbaz said, CT scan Machines were provided and pathology labs established at 26 DHQ hospitals, adding that the issuance of Apna Health Card had been launched from Layyah district. He said DHQ Hospital Vehari was a model health facility and congratulated the staff for their performance.
