Zardari, Niazi wasting masses’ time: Shahbaz
LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Zardari and Niazi have limited their politics to raising slogans and wasting time of the people, adding the chaotic state of affairs in KP and Sindh are enough to show their poor performance. PML-N Sindh’s Sherazi brothers met with PML-N president and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and lauded him for Punjab’s development. Minister of State for National Food Security Syed Ayaz Ali Shah Sherazi, former MNA Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah Sherazi and PML-N Thattha chief Haji Muhammad Hanif Memon called on the chief minister. Speaking to them, the chief minister said heaps of garbage, dilapidated fleet of buses and broken roads in Karachi are enough to show the poor performance of Zardari sahib. He said development in one province cannot be termed national development process and added that Pakistan will progress when other provinces will also move forward with same speed in the journey of development.
If Almighty Allah accorded an opportunity to him for serving the masses, then the journey of development will spread to Karachi as well as other parts of Sindh province, he added. He said the PML-N government has speedily moved forward the public welfare agenda without caring for political opponents. Those who have sold false dreams to the people have been fully exposed in their provinces. One party has ruined the KP while the other has wreaked havoc with Sindh. He inquired that those who have spoken lies and have failed to perform will go to the people with what face? The opponents remained engrossed in the politics of allegations and name-calling while the PML-N has moved the journey of public service forward. This agenda of public welfare will continue in future as well, the chief minister concluded.
Meanwhile, the chief minister said due to solid economic policies of the government, investors’ trust has increased as Pakistan is the best market for investment and foreign investors should take full benefit of such opportunities.
A delegation of foreign investors led by Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, chairman of AKD Group called on the CM Thursday. The foreign investors said Pakistan is the best country with regard to investment and the emerging market is very attractive for the investors.
According to another report, the chief minister condemned the Attock blast. He expressed sense of grief over the deaths and paid rich tribute to the persons who embraced martyrdom. He extended sympathies to the bereaved families and directed the administration to provide best treatment to the injured. He also sought a report from Attock DPO.
On the other hand, the chief minister said firefighters provide every possible support to the citizens during the incidents of fire without caring for their lives. In his message on the eve of International Firefighters’ Day, the chief minister said purpose of marking this day is to pay homage and tributes to the efforts of the firefighters for saving people’s lives.
The chief minister has taken strict notice of the incident of torture on women in Railway Colony area of Faisalabad and sought a report from the CPO.
He directed that legal action be initiated against the criminals involved in this incident and the persons responsible for torture should be immediately arrested after registration of case. A report should be presented within 48 hours after investigation, he further added.
