Easy sailing for Faisalabad in SKL
LAHORE: Faisalabad overpowered Islamabad in the opening match of day two of the Pakistan’s inaugural Super Kabaddi League SKL) here at Gymnasium Hall of Sports Board Punjab on Thursday.
Faisalabad dominated the match and prevailed over Islamabad by 34-19 points margin. Sahiwal proved too strong for Lahore in the second match of the league winning 38-26. Sahiwal got early grip on the match and Lahore thus failed to surpass the margin taken by Sahiwal. Sajjad Shaukat of Sahiwal Bulls was later named the man of the match with 10 points. In the third match of the event, Peshawar Haider Ali prevailed over Islamabad All Stars. Peshawar that got to 35 points with some breath-taking performance from Iran’s Milad Sherhak, allowed Islamabad get 26 points. Earlier in a match late last night, Faisalabad Sherdils defeated Kashmir Jaanbaaz 40-24. Faisalabad did not let Kashmir settle down in the game and kept increasing its points with every attempt. Nasir Ali played a vital role man in Faisalabad’s win by getting 20 individual points.
