In connection with Pakistan Day celebrations, Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) arranged a stage play ‘Adam ke Betey’ based on Pakistan Movement with strong message of the unity of the nation.
The play was written and directed by Ali Zeb. Member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb was chief guest and ex-member Punjab Assembly Ziaullah Shah was guest of honour flanked by Naheed Manzoor and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed.
The main theme of the drama was communal differences that lead to intolerable situation in the country. The message was to tolerate each other and follow the golden saying of Quaid-i-Azam about the minorities.
Addressing on the occasion, Member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb said that the nation has united by setting aside political and religious differences and affirmed to wipe out terrorism from the country. She said that the young generation must be aware of Pakistan Resolution and its importance.
Ex-member Punjab Assembly Ziaullah Shah said that Pakistan should be made according to the vision of Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
Naheed Manzoor said “We will have to think about the country by forgetting our superficial differences.”
RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed thanked all guests and said that the aim for staging the drama was to provide knowledge about Pakistan Resolution to the young generation.
