Drive against sale of firecrackers in Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi: City Police have launched drive against firecracker dealers on the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Afzal Ahmed Kauser here on Sunday.
CPO said that no one would be allowed to sell the firecrackers on the eve of ‘Shab-e-Barat’ and strict action will be taken against those who were involved in these activities. He directed police to register cases against those who violate rule of law and ensure complete law and order so that the people could perform their religious duties with entire peace of mind.
He said that police officials who were found guilty in performing their duties, they will have to face strict action. He said that ‘Shab-e-Barat’ is Islamic festival and people should bow before Allah Almighty at that particular night and ask for pardon against our deeds.
