CM Punjab National Women Squash in full swing
LAHORE: The 1st Chief Minister Punjab National Women Squash Championship-2018 had the quarterfinals round completed here at Punjab Squash Complex on Saturday.
President PSA Dr. Nadeem Muktar, Secretary Sheraz Saleem, Treasure Tariq Malik, Muhammad Imran, Shoaib Masood, M. Arshad, M. Asim were present there to see the young girls play.
Dr Nadeem Muktar, who met the girls that came from all over Pakistan was very much impressed with their performance.
In women senior category quarterfinals, Zoya Khalid (Army) beat Shafaq Chaudry (Pb) 11/2, 11/2, 11/3 (15 minutes), Rushna Mehboob (Army) beat Bushra Khalid (PB) 11/1, 11/0, 11/1 (14 minutes), Riffat Khan (WAPDA) beat Kalsoom Bibi (PB) 11/1, 11/3, 11/1 (11 minutes), Saima Shaukat (WAPDA) beat Tehrima Islam (Sindh) 11/6, 11/4, 11/5 (17 minutes).
In under-19 girls category quarterfinals, Amna Fayyaz (PIA) beat Sibgha Arshad (PB) 11/7, 11/9, 11/4 (15 minutes), Aiman Shahbaz (SNGPL) beat Sulaiya Chaudry (PB) 11/2, 11/4, 11/1 (15 minutes), Noor Ul Ain Ijaz (SNGPL) beat Fajar Hamid (PB) 11/0, 11/1, 11/1 (16 minutes), Noor Ul Huda (SNGPL) beat Syeda Shahbano (PB) 11/0, 11/0, 11/1 (12 minutes).
On Sunday semi-final of women senior categrory will be played between Zoha Khalid and Rushana Mehboob at 12.00 noon, and Riffat Khan and Saima Souket.
In girls under 19 category first semifinal Amana Fayyaz and Aiman Shahbaz fight for final spot and Noor ul Ain Ejaz and Noorul Huda play in 2nd semifinal.
All matches will be played on follow on basis. Chief Guest for Semifinals will be Dr. Nadeem Muktar, President PSA.
