India behind terrorist attacks in Quetta: JI
LAHORE: Condemning terrorist attacks in Quetta, Jamaat-e-Islami said Indian government was behind them. Talking to media Wednesday, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch alleged that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government was trying to sabotage restoration of peace in insurgency-hit Balochistan.
He hoped that terrorists would fail in their evil designs and blood of the martyrs would not go waste. He said JI Ameer Sirajul Haq had spoken the truth about Senate elections. He said increasing tension on political front and insulting and irresponsible attitude by different quarters would vitiate the atmosphere and all quarters would suffer.
He said the federal and provincial governments were nearing the end of their tenure and they should complete their terms peacefully in line with the Constitution and decide the interims setup in a serious way so that the elections could be held in a transparent manner.
MMA chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had called an important meeting of central office-bearers of the religious alliance on April 27 in Islamabad in which details of the National Workers Convention being held on May 2 would be finalised, he added.
