School uniform, stationery distributed among orphans in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: School uniforms and stationery were distributed among orphans and needy children at a ceremony here.
The function was held at the Government Primary School Jehangirpura. Local notables including Union Council 18 Nazim Sardar Ali Naz, Naib Nazim Alamzeb, Sub-Division Education Officer Misri Khan, Town Council member Mian Zulfiqar, UC 16 Nazim Darvesh, headmaster Imtiaz Hussain, Awal Khan, students and their parents were present.
Trophies were also given to the 18 position holder students of Government Primary School Jehangirpura from all the grades. The parents appreciated the move and thanked those who took the initiative. They said that it would encourage the students to pay attention to their studies.
Addressing the ceremony, Awami National Party (ANP) leader Sardar Ali Naz deplored that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government didn't bother to make the missing facilities available at schools even though it claimed to have declared education emergency in the province. He said the funds for the Parent Teachers Councils should be released.
