NAWABSHAH: A shutter down strike was observed on the call of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz on Saturday to register its protest over the non-arrest of the killers of their central leaders Maqsood Qureshi and Salman Wadho. Major parts of the city and surrounding towns and villages remained closed while a sit-in was staged at the Sakrand Motorway Bypass. The JSQM workers said killers of their central leaders Maqsood Qureshi and Salman Wadho were still at large despite the lapse of one year. Aerial shots were heard on the Nawabshah-Sanghar Road where some workers of the JSQM forced the shopkeepers to pull their shutters down. However, heavy contingent of police intervened and brought the situation under control.
