Municipal Committee Kasur Chairman Ayaz Ahmad Khan and Vice-Chairman Ahmad Latif are also among those securing bail from the court.
The rally was organised on 13 April Sheikh Waseem, in which the PML-N leaders and workers had participated.
On the chief minister’s directions, the Punjab IGP ordered the police to arrest all the accused by Wednesday night after which 39 of them including Sheikh Waseem, Jamil Khan and Nasir Khan were arrested. Later, Ansari, Ayaz and Ahmad presented their selves before the DSP City and SHO Haji Ashraf for arrest.
On Thursday afternoon, the police presented the accused in the court of judicial magistrate amid tight security and prayed the court for judicial remand. However, the defence lawyers applied for bail, which was accepted by the court.
