Joint checkposts of police, army established in Okara

OKARA: DPO Faisal Rana has said that joint checkposts of the police and the army have been set-up for strict checking of vehicles and individuals at five different points to avoid any untoward incident in the district.
He said this while addressing a press conference here on Friday. The DPO said that Pak-India border area at Head Sulemanki along Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Kasur, Faisalabad and Bahawalnagar districts was a high security risk, adding that all vehicles and individuals would be checked strictly at the checkposts in these areas. Later, the DPO visited the checkpost at Head Sulemanki and checked security arrangements.
CRUSHED TO DEATH: An unidentified man was crushed to death by a train here on Friday.
The man was crossing a railway track when suddenly the train arrived and crushed him under its wheels.
