PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Monday granted bail to three accused charged with the murder of five persons.
A single bench granted bail to the accused persons including Farzand Ali, Lashkar Khan and Waqar on statutory ground. The court directed the accused persons to submit two sureties bonds of Rs500,000 each for release on bail.
The petitioner’s lawyer submitted before the bench that earlier the high court had directed the trial court to conclude the trial within 45 days, but the court had failed to conclude the trial within the given timeframe. He submitted the case was registered in March 25, 2012 at the Shahbaz Garhi Police Station in Mardan. He said that the complaints have charged the accused with the murder of five persons including Ghaffar Ali, Kamal, Abuzar, Gul Jamal and Mamoor Khan.
The lawyer said that there was an old enmity between the rivals. The complainants had also charged Fazle Subhan Khan of Mardan, in the case, but he was then acquitted in the case after filing application under Section 265K of Criminal Procedure Code for acquittal in the case.
