ECP rejects 21 objections to delimitation in Abbottabad
ABBOTTABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected 21 objections on the delimitation of the constituencies and ordered to re-adjust the two patwar circles in two provincial assembly seats.
The objections were filed before Election Commission of Pakistan by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi, ex-deputy National Assembly Speaker Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob, KP Minister for Food Qalandar Khan Lodhi, Tehsil Member Jabraiel Abbasi on behalf of Senator Barrister Javed Abbasi, Tehsil Member Iftikhar Khan and others.
In their objections, they had opposed any changes in two National Assembly seats, NA-15 and NA-16, and four provincial assembly constituencies.
The ECP, however, accepted the plea of member Tehsil Council Havelian Iftikhar Khan and detached Ghari Pulgran, Rajoiya and Banda Attai Khan from PK-37 to PK-38 and Union Council Salhad from PK-38 to PK-37.
