CTD arrests two militants in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday arrested two suspected militants including an Afghan national for alleged involvement in shifting explosives material from one place to another for an act of terrorism.
As per the official communiqué, the Counter Terrorism Department stated that it had arrested two suspected militants including Adil alias Abdur Rehman, resident of Afghanistan, presently living at Paharipura locality in Peshawar and Azmat, resident of Malikdinkhel in Khyber Agency.
It said that on receiving secret information, the CTD police stopped an auto rickshaw at Landi Arbab Road and on search recovered two kg explosives, five feet prima cord, two safety fuses, oil tin and one pistol from their possession.
