I fear Allah, others NAB: Siraj
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said the difference between him and other politicians is that he fears none but Allah whereas others were afraid of the NAB. Addressing a mammoth gathering at the JI youth convention at Minar-e-Pakistan grounds Sunday evening, Siraj sought the support and the confidence of the farmers, workers and the youth for building Pakistan as truly a welfare state. JI deputy chief Dr Farid Ahmad Piracha and JI Youth chief Zubair Ahmed Gondal also spoke on the occasion. The JI ameer said Allah Almighty had blessed this country with unlimited resources including coal, gas and oil reserves besides a valuable sea coast spread over 650 km. However, he said the farmers, young men and workers of the country remained hungry. He vowed to ensure the election of the youth to the assemblies. He cursed the present political system under which only the scions of the feudal lords and capitalists could return to the assemblies.
The ruling elite boasted that the US was at their back. However, he said times had changed and the US would not accept these people anymore. The rulers had burdened the country with loans amounting to $85 billion but on the other hand, a huge amount of $500 billion belonging to Pakistanis was lying abroad. He said if Allah gave him a chance, he would bring all this money back to the country.
The PPP and the PML-N had ruled Sindh and Punjab for four times but they were saying now that if they got another chance, they would change country’s fate, he added. The JI chief deplored that former president Musharraf had placed restriction on the national hero and father of country’s nuclear bomb Dr AQ Khan under the US pressure. But, he said the youth of the country took Mehmud Ghaznavi, Shahabuddin Ghauri and Dr AQ Khan as their heroes. He said our young men were the slaves and lovers of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the objective of their life was following Islam.
