Minister condemns Quetta firing incident
LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu condemned the firing incident on Shah Zaman road, Quetta.
Reportedly, four Christians travelling in a rickshaw were killed in the incident. In a separate incident earlier in the day, three people were killed and four injured on Qambrani road, Quetta.
Khalil said it was a horrific incident of terrorism and in this hour of sadness the Punjab government was standing with the Christian community of Balochistan. He said terrorism was a global issue and terrorist did not belong to any nation or religion. “They are enemies of humanity. The security forces of Pakistan are struggling to eliminate terrorism from all over the country,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan has strongly condemned the killing of innocent children in Afghanistan, calling upon the UN to take notice of the situation in Afghanistan.
Talking to party members on Wednesday, Abdul Aleem Khan said that the latest joint misadventure of the US and Afghan government is highly perilous for the peace of the region. He said the PTI has strong reservations regarding the situation in Afghanistan, and the party demands that substantial steps are taken to end the constant pain that people suffer because of bombing.
He said that rulers are taking benefits from different institutions while constantly criticising the same institutions. He said that those who have taken turns to be in power have lost their credibility, and the public would ensure that they are never again given a chance to plunder the national exchequer. He said that as and when Imran Khan visits any city of Pakistan, the party supporters and public in general would ensure that he is given a warm and memorable welcome.
