Ummah unity MMA’s aim, says Siraj
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said the real objective of MMA was the unity of the Muslim Ummah, since anti-Islam forces were ruling the Muslims through puppet governments after dividing the Ummah on various grounds.
Washington was conspiring to enforce educational syllabi of its choice in Muslim countries to bury the spirit of Jehad and unity among Muslims, he said while delivering Friday sermon at Mansoora Masjid. He noted that during Pervez Musharraf’s rule, several Quranic Surahs calling for Jehad and unity were dropped from the syllabi of schools.
He said Islamic history witnessed that wherever the enemy captured Muslims territories, the first thing they did was to kill Ulema and burn libraries and books. After 9/11, he said, US declared the Muslims as its enemy and got control over their economy and education. Sirajul Haq said that in 1897, Zionists had planned to rule the entire world and they were working on the plan. Unfortunately, he said, instead of countering the enemy plan, Muslim rulers were busy in pursuing their personal goals. He said MMA wanted to awaken the nation and to forge unity in its ranks to be able to counter the plans of the Hindus and Zionists under US patronage. He said that the JI would give its line of action to country’s youths at its meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan on April 8. Meanwhile, addressing an international Qirat competition, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, who is also the Secretary General of MMA, said the Holy Quran is the Book of guidance. He said the nations who had implemented the Quranic injunctions in their lives, had triumphed and those who deviated from the Quran, had failed.
