FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Monday earmarked a complete block in FDA City for ‘Journalists Colony’ resolving a long-standing demand of the Faisalabad journalists.
Addressing a meeting at Faisalabad Press Club, FDA chairman MPA Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad announced it.
He said allotment letters would be issued to journalists soon and only members of the Faisalabad Press Club would be entitled for the allotment in the Journalists Colony.
Ejaz said a meeting of the FDA Governing Body would shortly be held to approve the colony.
He said on the request of the office-bearers of the Faisalabad Press Club, the block has been reserved where all basic amenities, including electricity, drinking water, sewerage and paved roads are available.
Faisalabad Press Club chairman Shahid Ali and Secretary Ghulam Abbas Tanvir thanked the FDA Governing Body Chairman Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad for allocating the block. CPO Dr Sohail Tajik also attended the meeting.
