HAFIZABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq has urged the political and religious parties to shun their ideological and political differences and struggle jointly to eliminate hunger, unemployment and terrorism from the country.
Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he said that the PPP and the PML-N had failed to come up to the expectations, of workers, peasants and others, who had voted for them. He asked the PPP and PML-N workers to join the JI for resolving the problems and introducing Islamic system in the country. To a question, Sirajul Haq said that recovery of weapons and arrest of hardened criminals from the MQM headquarters had surprised and disappointed the nation. He said that action should be taken against the militants of different political and religious parties without any discrimination.
To another question, he said that that 21st amendment was approved unanimously to eliminate terrorists. He said that the Karachi operation was launched with the consent of all political and religious parties. He said that the country was facing terrorism and extremism due to the wrong policies of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf. He said that there was a rule of individuals in the country and the JI believed in rule of law and merit.
He said that trade with India was impossible without resolving the Kashmir issue. He condemned the suicide attack on two churches in Lahore. He also condemned the killing of two innocent persons by the mob in Lahore.
Earlier, 25 deserving couples tied the knot a mass wedding ceremony organised by the Al-Khidmat Foundation. The ceremony was attended Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq and others.
