CHAKWAL: Senator Lt-Gen (retd) Abdul Qayyum has said that the whole nation is united against terrorism and terrorists will be eliminated soon from the country.
He said this after his arrival in his native village Padshahan where hundreds of people gave him a warm welcome. Abdul Qayyum had arrived first time after being elected as a Senator here. He was warmly welcomed at Dhudial Chowk, Harrar Chowk, Maswal Chowk, Dore Chowk, Gulab Chowk, Padshahan Chowk and Bheen Chowk where the people showered rose petals on him. Later, addressing the gathering, Abdul Qayyum said that the operation against terrorists would be successful soon. He claimed that all political forces were united on one platform against terrorism. MNA Tahir Iqbal, MPA Mehwish Sultana, Ch Haidar Sultan, Raja Haider Sultan, Raja Sajid Iqbal, Mumtaz Khan and Mushtaq Bhatti were also present.
