3 dead in Faisalabad incidents

FAISALABAD: Three people were killed in separate incidents here on Saturday.
Accused Muhammad Azam quarrelled with his wife Mehnaz over some domestic dispute at Garden Mohallah. Later, the accused stabbed her to death. In another incident, Abdullah Tufail of Chak 63/JB Thikriwala ended his life by taking poisonous pills. The motive behind the incident is said to be a domestic dispute. In yet another incident, Muhammad Anwar died when some unidentified swindlers gave him intoxicated drink after looting cash and a cell phone from him at Nisar Colony. Police have registered separate cases.
COP HELD: An Anti-Corruption Establishment team along with Special Judicial Magistrate Imtiaz Ali on Saturday raided and arrested a police constable for taking Rs 4,000 bribe from a citizen.
The ACE team raided at Chakaira Police Post of Ghulam Muhammadabad police station and arrested constable Muhammad Yousaf for receiving Rs 4,000 bribe from Rafia Bibi of Marzipura in a case.
DOCTORS TOKEN STRIKE: The doctors and paramedics of the DHQ Hospital on Saturday observed a token strike for three hours against Civil Lines Division SP Muhammad Usman for summoning a doctor directly.
The protesting doctors said that the police could not summon doctors directly as proper procedure should be adopted by the police.
