20 labourers hurt in Multan roof collapse

MULTAN: The roof of a hotel caved in and fell on labourers, 20 of them buried injured under it when they were taking meal.
The Rescue 1122 workers, however, saved them. Fifteeen of the labourers were given first aid while the five others were shifted to hospital.
The roof had collapsed due to heavy rain on Nag Shah road Saturday, rescue sources said.
The evacuation operation was continued for two hours and laborers were shifted to Multan Nishtar hospital and 15 laborers were provided at spot and rest of were removed to hospital, rescuers said.
Over 150 laborers were taking meal at roadside hotel near Nag Shah when heavy rain started.
Three of hospitalized laborers were identified as Ashiq Hussein, Omer Zahid and Munir, while condition of one laborer was stated to be critical.
