951 arrested in Peshawar in three months, says official
PESHAWAR: The Capital City Police arrested 951 outlawed during operation in the provincial capital against anti-social elements in the last three months.
As per the official communiqué, the city police in order to maintain law and order continued its operation against the anti-social elements and arrested 951 proclaimed offenders who were wanted to police in connection with various cases including terrorism, kidnapping, narcotics smuggling, murders and robbery.
During operation, the police recovered huge quantity of arms, explosives materials used in bomb blasts, suicide jacket and narcotics. The police claimed that huge quantity of arms including 442 Kalashnikovs, eight hand-grenades, 1146 pistols,, 165 rifles, 171 shot guns, 10 Kalakovs, three rocket launchers, 17 kg explosives materials, one suicide jacket, 226174 cartridges of different bores, four fuse boosters, 1323 kilograms of charas, 84 kg heroines, 5.182 kilo Ice, and 2245 bottles of liquor were also recovered.
