HAFIZABAD: The Al-Khidmat Foundation will arrange a mass marriage ceremony at Shaheed Chowk near Kolo Tarar on March 16.
It was told by Al-Khidmat Foundation Hafizabad president Tariq Yaqoob here on Friday. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq, JI Punjab ameer Dr Waseem Akhtar and Al-Khidmat Foundation Punjab president Rao Muhammad Zafar will also attend the ceremony. JI ameer Sirajul Haq would also address a press conference, he added.
INQUIRY: On the application of a citizen, the Gujranwala Division commissioner has directed the Hafizabad TMA administrator to launch an inquiry against the TMO and a sub-engineer of the TMA for allegedly taking bribe.
Ghulam Mustafa submitted an application to the commissioner in which he alleged that the officers had received bribe for some official work. At this, the commissioner directed the TMA administrator to launch an inquiry into the incident and submit a report to him.
GIRL ABDUCTED: A girl was abducted from Kolo Tarar on Friday.
Accused Shahzad entered the house of Ghulam Abbas and allegedly abducted his daughter Maria. Police have registered a case.
VALUABLES LOOTED: Two dacoity incidents were reported here on Friday.
Sufian Ahmad and his friend Nasir were on their way to Mangat Neecha village by a bike when five dacoits snatched cash and cell phones from them near Sem Nullah Sagar Kalan. Muhammad Jameel parked his bike outside his house at Mohallah Qadirpura. When he returned, he found it missing.
