Muhammad Sajid of Tarkhani area had gunned down teacher Shahida and injured her husband Azhar sometime ago. The parents of the convict had finalised a patch up with Azhar but his wife’s parents belonging to Azad Jammu and Kashmir refused reconciliation.
Akhtar had shot dead Manzoor Ahmad and raped his wife Tasawar Bibi. On Thursday night, both parties reconciled but the reconciliation was rejected by the competent authority as the rape case of Tasawar was instituted under the Hudood Ordinance, which was not reproachable.
