CHAKWAL: City police Friday arrested three gamblers from Mohallah Khawajgan.
Sub-Inspector Nazar Hayat on a tip-off raided the locality and arrested Khawaja Arif Aziz, Khawaja Mansab and Khawaja Imran Saleem, who were gambling on the telephone.
Police also recovered a mobile phone, a TV, a wireless set and the CPU.
In another operation, city police Chakwal arrested an Afghan national from Khmani Chowk. Police asked Lal Afnan to produce his documents but could not produce the documents. Police booked him under Foreign Act.
FAKE CHEQUE CASE: City police Chakwal on the instructions of the court registered a case against a man for issuing a fake cheque on Friday.
Sher Baz Ali, of village Bhoun, submitted to the Additional District and Sessions judge that he purchased a car from Faisal Akhtar and gave Rs 60,000 to him and Faisal had not provided registration book. He said the Faisal gave him Rs 60,000 cheque. When the cheque was taken to bank, it was bounced.
