Bottles filled from tubewells being sold in guise of mineral water

Islamabad

March 14, 2018

Islamabad: The residents have pointed out activities of some elements who routinely fill dozens of small and large size plastic bottles from the tubewells in wee hours and supposedly later sell them out as mineral water to the general public.

“I have seen couple of times this week that two or three persons come in fully covered van and fill dozens of water bottles from the tubewell on the backside of the Beverly Centre, “said Azeem Ahmad, a resident of Sector F-6. He said that he is sure that these people who fill plastic bottles from this tubewell later label them with stickers of branded or local companies and sell them out as mineral water in the market.

The similar fact has also been raised by the residents of some other localities of the federal capital where people arrive in pick-ups or other vehicles and fill empty mineral water bottles in the night time.
