Minor girl raped, killed in Sukkur
SUKKUR: The body of a five-year-old minor girl, who went missing five days ago, was recovered on Tuesday which sparked protests and rallies by the citizens. Reports said that five-year-old minor Uzma, daughter of Mumtaz Kaleri, mysteriously went missing from her house. Her parents searched her and when they failed to find her, they informed the local police of Hosri.
Reports said that after five days of her disappearance, the body of the missing girl was recovered near village Murad Kaleri, where it was found dumped. Police along with local citizens recovered the dead body and shifted it to a hospital with marks of wounds on her neck. Dost Muhammad Mangrio, DSP Hosri, told the media that police surgeon Dr Samina Kazi of the Hyderabad hospital had conducted post-mortem of the dead body and suspected that accused after raping the minor girl throttled her to death. The dead body of the victim girl was laid to rest, while citizens protested and demanded the arrest and public hanging of the culprit.
