Zardari, Niazi aloof to people’s problems: CM
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Zardari-Niazi duo had no concern with the people’s problems, adding that the Pakistanis would bury the anti-development alliance with the power of their votes. The chief minister said the time wasted due to the sit-ins and lockdown of Imran Khan had been compensated with hard work and the PML-N would further accelerate the pace development by achieving success in the next elections. Shahbaz said millions of people were reaping the fruits of various reforms introduced in health, education, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors. Talking to Minister of State for Industries and Production Arshad Leghari, he said the government had made every effort to achieve the goal of a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
Separately, the chief minister congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on becoming lifelong President of People’s Republic of China. Terming it a welcoming step, he said the development and prosperity of China had become a role model for other nations, for which the credit went to President Xi.
He said the Chinese president’s ideology depicted high moral values and broad approach of collective wellbeing.“Pakistan-China friendship is immortal and is being further strengthened with the passage of time,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of rape-cum-murder of the girl and sought a report from Gujranwala RPO. The bereaved family will be provided justice at all costs, he added.
