Anti-polio campaign starts in Chitral

CHITRAL: A four-day anti-polio campaign was launched in Chitral district here on Monday.Additional Deputy Commissioner Minhasuddin and District Health Officer Dr Israrullah formally inaugurated the drive by administering the vaccine to children at the Women and Children Hospital here.
The campaign was being carried out in 24 Union Councils of Chitral except Broghil. Coordinator for Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) Dr Fayyaz Ali said that 68,104 children below-five-year of age would be immunized during the campaign. He said 505 teams would administer oral polio vaccine to children at their doorstep.
