No difference between Zardari, Bilawal: Aitzaz
LAHORE: PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan has said there is no difference of opinion between Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto and PPP candidate will come as chairman Senate. He said this while talking to media men here on Saturday.
He said that Sharif brothers got Supreme Court (SC) attacked in 1998. But no one said anything to these two brothers in this incident. Chaudhry Akhtar Rasool MPA, Mian Muhammad Munir MPA and broadcaster Tariq Aziz were arrested instead of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. They were tried.
He held that not only this but also Sharif brothers got proposed sentences by judges for Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari. Audio tapes on this count came before the entire nation. He alleged that former NAB chairman Saifur Rehman telephoned Justice Malik Qayyum saying that maximum punishment be awarded to Asif Zardari and Benazir Bhutto.
No action has been taken against these two brothers despite these facts, he remarked. The sentences given to Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari were declared null and void in Supreme Court decision.
Now Sharif brothers have started using another tactics that if decision comes against them from Chaudhry Bashir court then chaos has to be spread.
SC is exercising restraint in contempt of court being committed by Sharif brothers openly, he said. If SC serves contempt of court notice and summons them then they reach there with workers and lawyers to attack the court, he added.
