Former CJP can’t retain bullet-proof car: IHC

ISLAMABAD: Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday dismissed a petition seeking retaining a bullet proof car presently in use of the former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice (R) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. Justice Kayani declared that a retired Supreme Court judge could only avail the facilities that are enumerated in the Supreme Court Judges Leave, Pension and Privileges Order, 1997. The detailed judgment is not issued yet. This matter was pending before the IHC since 2014.
