Snow clearance in Galiyat, Abbottabad completed

PESHAWAR: The Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (PKHA) on Thursday said that clearance of snow in Galiyat and other scenic resorts at Abbottabad district had been completed, facilitating the tourists visiting the areas to enjoy chilly weather and snowfall.
A press release said the authority was engaged in clearance of snow in prominent scenic resorts of the province since 2002.
This year, too, the PKHA has completed clearance of snow from these areas, it added.
It said that hundreds of thousands of tourists from across the country thronged Galiyat and other sites including Thandyani, Naran, Kaghan, etc, during winter season for enjoying snowfall and eye-catching snow-covered hills.
