DFA Gwadar reach PPL Balochistan Football Cup quarters
KARACHI: District Football Association (DFA) Gwadar blasted their way into the quarter-finals when they overpowered Quetta City 1-0 thanks to a goal from Allah Dad in their crucial game of the final round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup at the Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium Malibagh, Quetta, on Thursday.
Despite the defeat, Quetta City also made it to the quarter-finals. In other matches, DFA Quetta whacked Chaman City 5-3. Nazir Ahmed hit four goals. The fifth goal was scored by Mohammad Faisal in the stoppage time.
Fareed Ahmed landed a brace and Baseer Ahmad hit one for Chaman City. The other day DFA Kharan defeated DFA Panjgur 2-1 with Saif Ali and Mohammad Ilyas striking for the winners in the 27th and the 52nd minutes, respectively. Naved Ahmed had provided lead to DFA Panjgur by firing in one in the 21st minute.DFA Dukki edged past DFA Lasbela 2-0 with Rozi Khan scoring in the ninth and the 80th minutes.
