Next polls to be contested on Roti, Kapra aur Makan: Bilawal
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Saturday said that the PPP would contest the upcoming general elections on the slogans of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto as the PPP was the only party which wanted resolution of the problems of people.
“We will contest the next elections on the original slogan of the PPP – Roti, Kapra aur Makan,” he said.
He said that the people did not care why Nawaz Sharif was ousted but they wanted resolution of their issues and eradication of poverty, unemployment and terrorism from the country.
The allegations of rigging always leveled in the elections in which the PML-N contested as the PML-N had a governments in federal and Punjab and they were using the secret funds to manipulate the elections, he said this during his visit to the membership camp of the PPP and PSF here at Super Market on Saturday along with PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Vice President PPP Parliamentarians Senator Sherry Rehman and PPP Media Coordinator Nazir Dhoki.
He said he visited the party’s membership camp to express his gratitude for the workers of the party and appeal to the party workers to go every house to convey the message of the PPP. Later in his tweet, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “Congratulations to all democrats. Another step forward to Pakistan’s young democracy, Senate elections taking place despite conspiracy theories.”
