BAHAWALPUR: DCO Imran Sikandar Baloch on Wednesday announced a local holiday in the district on Thursday (today) on the eve of annual Urs of Cholistan Desert’s Sufi Saint Hazrat Channar Pir.
All the government offices, schools and colleges will remain close to celebrate the Urs. Meanwhile, according to a press release of the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench Bar Association, lawyers will also observe the holiday while the LHC Bahawalpur Bench and subordinate courts in the LHC Bahawalpur will also remain close on Thursday (today).
