HBL PSL: Karachi-Multan fixture washed out
SHARJAH: The PSL 2018 clash between table-toppers Karachi Kings and third-placed Multan Sultans was washed out without a ball being bowled due to showers in Sharjah. Karachi Kings came into the fixture having been unbeaten in the league so far while the Sultans arrived with the motive of consolidating their number three position.
Kings won the toss and decided to bat first but the game didn’t start on time owing to the rain. Just when umpires decided the play could begin, the drizzle returned and forced a further delay.
Despite the covers getting taken off twice, the match never began and the two teams were awarded a point each.Multan Sultan’s next fixture is on March 3 (Saturday) against Quetta Gladiators, while Karachi Kings face Islamabad United on March 4 (Sunday).
