Sheikhupura to host sports festival on 3rd
LAHORE: Sheikhupura will host grand sports festival on March 3. Several world class sports stars are likely to attend the festival at Services Club Sheikhupura.
Organizing committee head Hafiz Usman said that Sheikhupura has never hosted such a grand sports and cultural festival in its history. “A talent appreciation ceremony will be held during festival besides live concert, magic show, dance contest. Senior judicial figure Amir Shareef Dogar will be the chief guest on this occasion,” he added.
Following top sports figures and dignitaries are expected to attend the mega sports festival: Squash legend Jahangir Khan, Chairman Tehrik Jawanan Pakistan Abdullah Gul, Dr Syed Sajjad Haider, Dr Ehsan Zafar, Deputy Director SBP Hafeez Bhati, Olympian Naveed Alam, Test cricketers Rana Naveed ul Hasan and Muhammad Asif, national kabaddi captain Shafiq Chishti, Rustam-e-Pakistan Usman Majeed, Guinness World Record Holder Muhammad Munir, MNA Mian Javed Latif, international female kabaddi player, wrestler and powerlifter Neelum Riaz, int’l athlete Rabia Ashiq and Syed Nadeem ul Hasan Shah.
