Karachi Kings beat Quetta Gladiators
DUBAI: Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 19 runs in the second match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 here Friday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Chasing 150-run winning target, Quetta Gladiators could make 130 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.Quetta Gladiators’ main scorers were Umar Amin (31) and Mohammad Nawaz (30) while only two other batsmen could get into the double figures.
For Karachi Kings, their captain left-arm spinner Imad Wasim along with fast bowler Mohammad Amir and medium-fast bowler Mohammad Irfan claimed two wickets each.Earlier, Karachi Kings batted first after winning the toss and scored 149-9 as none of their batsmen could reach fifty.
The main scorers for the Karachi Kings were South African Colin Ingram (41) and Khurram Manzoor (35).For Quetta Gladiators, Australian pace bowler Shane Watson claimed three wickets while young West Indian pacer Jofra Archer and Anwar Ali took two wickets each.
Multan Sultans, who are participating for the first time in the PSL, made an upset, defeating defending champions Peshawar Zalmi by seven wickets in the opening match played Thursday night in Dubai.
