LAHORE:Partly cloudy weather was observed in the city on Friday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions with chances of scattered rain for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a westerly wave was likely to affect most western, upper and central parts of the country on Saturday. They predicted rain-thunderstorm, with snow over the hills, associated with gusty at scattered places in northeast Balochistan;Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab; Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions; Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir, and at isolated places in Multan and DG.Khan divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
No rainfall was recorded in any part of the country till the Friday evening. Met officials said that Friday’s lowest temperature was recorded at Kalam where the mercury dropped to -04°C. In Lahore, maximum temperature was 27°C, minimum 13°C and humidity level was 31 percent.
