Kashmir Basketball Cup begins
LAHORE: Kashmir Basketball Cup (Boys and Girls) 2018 got under way at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall on Wednesday.
Chief guest PBBF Vice-President Lt-Col (retd) Naseem Butt inaugurated the tournament while Secretary Referee Board Punjab Muhammad Akram and Organising Committee comprising Ashir Gill, Fazal Sh and Hur Butt and a large number of basketball were also present on in the inaugural ceremony.
As many as 26 teams are participating in the event under three categories – U-19 (10 teams from schools and colleges), 19 plus (9 teams from clubs) and girls (seven teams from schools) in the 5-day tournament.
Following are the results on day one: Don Basco English Medium bt Youhanabad Club 38-23, Youhanabad (A) bt Don Basco UMT 25-19, Punjab bt Cathedral (B) 29-19, Cathedral (A) bt Youhanabad 25-14.
