CDA carries operations against encroachment

Islamabad: The enforcement teams of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) carried out various operations against encroachment across the federal capital.

During an operation at Mandi Mor along I J Principal Road, the enforcement teams cleared area encroached by fruit sellers and others while confiscated materials on two trucks. Similarly, the anti encroachment staff also demolished an illegal and shop and house which was constructed outside the J Salik Colony in sector G-8/1. Another team stopped construction activity by a bakery in F-6 Markaz (Super Market) and removed illegal set up shelters in Rana Market, Sector F-7.

The enforcement team also confiscated two excavator machine of a private which were engaged in carrying out excavation work without CDA permission in sectors G-8 and G-9. In Rawalpindi, the concerned authorities raised illegally constructed walls and gates on both sides of a road in F-Block of Satellite Town leading to I J Principal Road. The staff carrying out demolition work said they are carrying out operation on directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi in order to clear the area for road's expansion.

The staff present on the spot they have also served notices on a FIA official and a police official who attempted to create hurdle in the operation.
