Delimitation schedule for LB polls

CHAKWAL: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday announced the schedule of delimitation of local bodies’ polls for Chakwal district.
District Election Commissioner Shahid Islam is appointed as the District Limitation Officer while the assistant commissioners of five tehsils are notified as deputy to the district limitation officer. The preliminary delimitation of Chakwal district will be displayed at various prominent places of the district by May16. The suggestions and objections will be filed before May 25 and the final delimitation after hearing the appeals against the delimitation will be finalised on July 28. The Election Commission of Pakistan is likely to submit the election schedule of the LB polls on March 10 (today).
TREE PLANTATION: A tree plantation campaign was started here on Monday.
Acting DCO Ms Shireen Naz and Chakwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry president Qazi Akbar planted a sapling to inaugurate the campaign here. Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Forest Officer Saqib Mehmood told that more than 150,000 saplings would be planted during this spring campaign in the district.
