Alleged corruption in Rs1.19b project: LG reps from Abbottabad to lodge protest in Peshawar
ABBOTTABAD: The tehsil nazim and naib nazim along with 27 members of the Tehsil Council here on Tuesday left for Peshawar to lodge protest against the alleged corruption in the Rs1.19 billion “Abbottabad Beautification Project”.
The delegation left for Peshawar to stage protest demonstrations outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly’s building and the Chief Minister’s House.
Earlier before leaving for the provincial capital, a protest meeting was held at the office of Tehsil Nazim Ishaq Zakariya.
The meeting passed a resolution against the alleged corruption by the XEN of Tehsil Municipal Administration and secretary of the Local Government Department.
Interestingly, members of the Tehsil Council belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamaat-e-Islami were also present at the meeting.
