LARKANA: The Pir Muhammad Sadiq Cattle Farm, owned by Pir Muhammad Sadiq Pir of Luari Sharif, participated in Livestock, Dairy Fish and Agriculture Show in Larkana, with all its participating animals of Thari cow breed taking home the top laurels in every category. The main features of the show were exhibition and competition of thorough-bred animals and demonstration of their distinct qualities and power.

The top cattle breeders of Sindh are taking part in the show with their prized animals. However, in the end, the dairy cattle competition did not turn out to be too tough for the nationally-celebrated cattle farm from Luari Sharif.

The animals were tested in six categories: bull, cow, heifer male, and heifer female, calf male and calf female. The farm contested in each of these categories with two entries and all won for their beauty. Its two Thari bulls won both the first and second prizes, similarly, its two Thari cows stood at the first two rankings. Sindh Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Nisar Khuro gave away the trophies to Pir Noorullah Qureshi, who represented the farm at the show.

The Pir Muhammad Sadiq Cattle Farm is more than 150-year-old and boasts of the purest breeds Thari cow and Kundhi buffalo. It is based in the historical town of Luari Sharif in district Badin. Previously, the farm has won top prizes at the Lahore Horse and Cattle Show, and other venues.
