KARACHI: Japan Football Association (JFA) has shown keen interest in the development of football in Pakistan, Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) president Faisal Saleh Hayat said after returning from an official visit of Japan.
He was accompanied by the PFF’s secretary Col Ahmad Yar Lodhi.
“Japan is a true friend of Pakistan which has always come forward to support Pakistan in every walk of life. The people of Japan are highly hospitable and loving,” Faisal was quoted as saying.
“The JFA’s chief Kuniya Daini and its vice-president and executive general secretary Kohzo Tashima want to assist us in the development of football”, Faisal said.
He said that the JFA was considering providing a coach for Pakistan women team. It also wants improvement in infrastructure here, exchange of national teams and coach education programmes.
