Two killed in DI Khan violence
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two persons were killed in separate firing incidents in the district on Thursday, official sources said.
They said one Iftikhar, 30, was present at his shop in Miryali area when unidentified gunmen fired at him, killing him instantly. The accused managed to flee the scene.
Motive behind the killing could not be ascertained. Meanwhile, Jehangir along with his friend Meran Bakhsh was on his way when his rivals opened fire on them near Muqeen Shah Graveyard.
As a result, Meran Bakhsh sustained bullet injuries while Jehangir escaped unhurt. The injured was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Reason behind the murder was stated to be a property dispute.
The police registered separate cases and started investigation. Levies cook killed in Khyber Agency: A Levies cook was killed when the gun of his colleague went off accidentally here on Thursday, sources said.
They said the cook of Levies force identified as Mahir Shah was sitting with his colleague identified as Shah Saud when his gun went off accidently, which left the latter dead on the spot.
Mahir Shah was arrested and investigation launched.
