KP PDWP approves six uplift projects

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Thursday approved six projects at the estimated cost of Rs11531.707 million. Shahab Ali Shah, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development (P&D) presided over the meeting.

An official handout said the forum considered 11 projects pertaining to different sectors, including higher education, Health, urban development and roads, for the uplift of the province. Up to five projects were deferred due to inadequate design.

The project of higher education sector “Establishment of Women University at Mardan and the urban development sector projects “construction/rehabilitation of water & sanitation infrastructure within the jurisdiction of WSSP and Construction of office building of WSSP” were approved by the PDWP.

The roads sector projects such as “Construction/rehabilitation/widening/completion of incomplete Molkhow road, Booni bridge to Booni Bazaar road; construction of road from Balambat-Timergara to Kalpani-Maidan Link road in Lower Lower Dir; F/S, Design, Reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads from Alladadkhel to village Kani Teshil Shabqadar b) from Ziam Rest House to Salgaray via Gud Killay Chowk Shamsabad c) from Village Cheena to Dildar Ghari, UCs Ziam, Sherpao Charsadda (12 KM); F/S & Construction of Southern Link Road (Circular Road), Bannu,” etc, were also approved by the forum.
