PUNJAB University (PU) Transport Wing has started bus service for the students of Sheikhupura.
An inaugural ceremony in this regard was held outside PU Vice-Chancellor’s office on Friday. Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, PML-N’s District President, MPA, Arif Khan Sandhela, Resident Officer-I Prof Dr Sajid Rashid and students from Sheikhupura were also present.
Rana Tanvir Hussain thanked the VC for providing bus service facility to the students of the far-flung area. Dr Mujahid Kamran said PU had the largest fleet of buses among all the public sector universities to provide affordable transportation facility to its students.
The students from Sheikhupura also thanked PU administration, Rana Tanvir Hussain and MPA Arif Sandhela for resolving their transportation problem. —Correspondent
