Two killed by train in Sargodha
SARGODHA: Two men died in two train accidents on Tuesday. According to police sources, Fakhar Abbas, 26, of Satellite Town, Sargodha, was crossing railway track on a bicycle near Chak 33 level-crossing when Karachi-bound the Millat Express Train hit him, leaving him dead on the spot. In another incidnet, Aakash, 15, was struck by the Millat Express Train when he was crossing rail track near Chungi No 12, Sargodha. As a result, he was killed on the spot.
Five accused held: Police Tuesday arrested five accused. According to police, during checking at exit and entry points, the Bhera police intercepted a car near Salam Interchange and arrested accused Zahid of Chakwal. The accused had stolen the car from Gujranwala in 2011.
Police also arrested four accused identified as Waris, Shahbaz, Inamullah and Faisal at Kotmomin interchange and recovered five pistols from them. Cases are registered against the accused.
Two die in road accidents: Two people died in separate road accidents in Shahnikdar and Bhagtanwala police limits on Tuesday.
In the first incident, Kafeel Hussain, 8, of Shahnikdar was riding a bicycle when a speeding tractor-trolley hit him near Jhamra Moor, leaving him dead on the spot. The police are investigating. In the second accident, a fast-moving van hit motorcyclist Farooq of Samoranwali on Lahore Road, leaving him dead on the spot. The police are investigating.
13 drug peddlers held: Police Tuesday claimed to have arrested 13 criminals and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from their possession. Police of different stations arrested 13 drug pushers and criminals and recovered 4,173 gram Hashish, 50 bottle liquor, one rifle 8mm, 4 pistols and a shotgun. Cases are registered against the accused.
